About the Role

As a Software Engineer at GoPremium, you'll be at the forefront of revolutionizing financial services in Africa. You'll work on cutting-edge technology to develop and maintain our borderless payment platform, ensuring seamless and secure transactions for our users across the continent and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software for our core payment platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and familiarity with React and Node.js
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• Familiarity with cloud services (preferably AWS or GCP)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team

Nice to Have

• Experience with fintech or payment systems
• Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies
• Familiarity with mobile app development (React Native)
